Your exclusive journey begins with a private transfer from your hotel in Istanbul to the airport around 4:00 am for your flight to Kayseri or Nevsehir. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your private guide and driver who will be at your service throughout the day. You will then proceed to Valle de Pasabag, home to the region’s most striking fairy chimneys. After breakfast and check-out, your private driver and guide will pick you up at 9:30 am for a journey to the remarkable Ciudad subterránea de Derinkuyu, the deepest underground settlement in Cappadocia. Your guide will take you through the intricate levels of this ancient city, explaining its ventilation and defense systems in detail. Following this, you will head to the stunning Valle de Ihlara, a lush canyon created by the Melendiz River. You will enjoy a peaceful walk along the riverbank, visiting rock-hewn churches that differ architecturally from those in Goreme.
Lunch will be served at a river-side restaurant in the valley, offering a serene atmosphere. Your final stop is the majestic Monasterio de Selime, a massive rock-cut complex that served as a religious center. Can Berber checked in with us while we were on the road to ensure we had met our driver, which was a nice personal touch. The landscape is honestly like landing on another planet. We spent a lot of time at the Open Air Museum and having a private guide meant we could actually hear the history without being jostled by the big bus crowds.
