3-Day Cappadocia Highlights Tour from Kayseri Airport

Day 1: Zelve Open Air Museum & Fairy Chimneys Tour

(Arrival at Kayseri/Nevsehir Airport should be before 9:00 a.m. to join this tour). You will be picked up from the Kayseri or Nevsehir airport or from your hotel in Cappadocia to join the full-day tour of North Cappadocia.

Your tour will start with a visit to the Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy chimneys. Next, you will visit the Pasabag Valley (Monks Valley) to see the mushroom-shaped pinnacles. After this visit, you will drive to the city of Avanos. After lunch, you will visit the Zelve Open Air Museum in Cappadocia. The museum features a series of carved caves and ancient churches, providing a glimpse into the region’s monastic history. Finally, towards the end of the day tour, before returning to your hotel, you will have the opportunity to visit the natural castles of Uchisar. Please note that the interior of the Uchisar castles is not accessible for visits.

After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel around 4:00 p.m. You will have the rest of the day free to relax, explore the city on your own, or take part in any optional activities that are offered.

Day 2: Rose Valley & Kaymakli Underground City Tour

For an additional option, you can book an early morning hot air balloon ride and enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the valleys. Please be aware that this activity comes at an extra cost.

Depart from your hotel around 9:30 am to visit Red Valley, explore the famous rock-cut churches, and hike 5 km through the Rose Valley (Gulludere Vadisi). Then visit Cavusin Village. This village is famous for the houses and churches of the Christian clergymen. After lunch drive to Pigeon Valley (Guvercinlik Vadisi). In the afternoon visit Kaymakli Underground City or Ozkonak Underground City. Where early Christians lived in fear and faith. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel at around 4:00 p.m.

Day 3: Derinkuyu Underground City & Ihlara Valley Tour

Depart from your hotel around 9:30 a.m. for Derinkuyu Underground City to visit the huge refugee settlement carved by early Christians, where they could hide from persecutors. From Derinkuyu continue to the beautiful valley of Ihlara, Formerly known as peristerema. Explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 4 km through the valley. On the way back visit the monasteries in Selime village (Guzelyurt). 

Today’s tour will end at 4:00 PM. After that, we can drop you off directly at Kayseri or Nevsehir airport, or if you choose to continue your stay in Cappadocia, you will be dropped back at your hotel. END OF OUR SERVICES AND TOURS.
