Full-Day Pamukkale Tour from Denizli

You will be picked up from your hotel in Denizli or the Denizli bus station around 8:30 AM to begin your full-day adventure exploring Pamukkale and Hierapolis. The tour officially starts at approximately 10:30 AM when you arrive at the ancient city of Hierapolis, where you’ll dive into the rich history and fascinating structures of this Greco-Roman spa city. Your exploration begins with the Necropolis of Hierapolis, a vast ancient cemetery filled with tombs and sarcophagi that reflect Hierapolis’s historical significance. From there, visit the impressive Roman Baths and marvel at the Domitian Gate and Byzantium Gate—grand entrances that once welcomed traders and travelers. You’ll continue along Frontinus Street, the main street of Hierapolis, lined with ruins of columns, shops, and historic buildings. Next, you’ll discover the Agora, an ancient marketplace, and the Triton Fountain, a beautiful feature from antiquity. As you move through the ancient city, visit the Latrina (a public restroom), the impressive Cathedral. Stand in awe of the Temple of Apollo and Plutonium, both sacred sites in the city’s spiritual life. The Theater of Hierapolis, carved into the hillside and overlooking the valley, showcases Roman engineering and offers a panoramic view. Around midday, enjoy a delicious lunch break at a local restaurant, where you can relax and recharge before continuing with the afternoon portion of the tour. After lunch, you’ll have the chance to visit the Antique Pool, known as Cleopatra’s Pool, where ancient columns lie submerged in warm, mineral-rich waters. You can take a dip here (optional, with an additional fee) to experience the rejuvenating effects of these famous thermal waters. The tour continues with a walk on the travertines of Pamukkale, where you’ll remove your shoes and step onto the pristine white terraces formed by calcium-rich waters. This surreal landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers incredible photo opportunities and a unique way to connect with the natural beauty of Turkey. After your enriching journey through ancient history and natural wonder, the tour will end at around 4:00 PM. You’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Pamukkale or Denizli, or to the Denizli Bus Terminal, by 5:00 PM. This will be the end of our tour and services.
