Jerash and Amman City Tour
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and drive approximately 1 hour to Jerash, once a member of the Decapolis. Its golden age came under Roman rule, and today it is considered one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities in the Middle East. A local guide will lead you through its remarkable ruins, including the Forum, the impressive Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum, theatres, and the magnificent Temple of Artemis.
After the tour in Jerash, you will return to Amman to explore its historical heart. Begin with a visit to the Citadel, offering panoramic views of the capital. On the site, discover remnants from Roman, Byzantine, and early Islamic periods, such as the Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace, and the Archaeological Museum.
Next, head to the impressive Roman Theatre, which once hosted up to 6,000 spectators. Conclude the day with a stroll through the vibrant Souqs (markets) in downtown Amman, and a visit to Rainbow Street in the charming Jabal Amman neighborhood, known for its cafes, art galleries, and lively atmosphere.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax at your hotel or explore more of the city at your own pace.
