Cappadocia Red Tour
You will be picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am and depart for your full-day tour. The first stop will be Devrent Valley, where you will see fascinating rock formations and small fairy chimneys creating a lunar landscape. Many of these natural formations resemble animals, making the valley look like a sculpture zoo crafted by nature. After a scenic walk through this surreal setting, your journey continues to Pasabag (Monk’s Valley), home to some of Cappadocia’s most unique fairy chimneys, with twin and even triple rock caps, famously known as ‘mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys.’
From there, you will head to Avanos, a charming town celebrated for its pottery tradition that dates back to the Hittite period. The local artisans work with red clay sourced from the Kızılırmak River, the longest river in Turkey. After enjoying lunch, you will proceed to the Zelve Open Air Museum, where you will explore ancient churches, chapels, and monasteries carved into fairy chimneys between the 10th and 13th centuries, adorned with beautiful frescoes.
Before returning, you will have time to take photos in the surrounding valleys, capturing the essence of Cappadocia’s magical landscape. At the end of the tour, around 4:00 pm, you will be transferred back to your hotel. End of our services.
