Day-by-Day Itinerary

1

Depart from Istanbul – Overnight Bus Journey to Cappadocia

Late in the evening, you will be transferred to the bus station for your overnight bus to Cappadocia, departing at 8:30 pm. The journey takes approximately 11 hours and includes three breaks for personal needs. You will arrive at the Goreme bus station in Cappadocia the next morning.

Note: During your transfer on the local bus, you will be unaccompanied. Touring services will begin once you meet your local tour guide upon arrival at your destination.

North Cappadocia Tour

Upon your arrival at the Goreme bus station in Cappadocia, you will be met and transferred to your Cappadocia hotel. At the hotel, you can have breakfast and prepare to meet your tour guide around 9:30 am.

Your tour will start with a visit to Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy chimneys. Next, you will visit Pasabag (Monk’s Valley) to view the famous mushroom-shaped pinnacles. After this, you will drive to the city of Avanos.

After lunch, you will visit the Zelve Open Air Museum, featuring a series of carved caves and ancient churches that provide a glimpse into the region’s monastic history.

Finally, towards the end of the day, before returning to your hotel, you will have about 15 minutes to take panoramic pictures of the natural castles of Uchisar.

After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel around 4:00 pm. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore the city on your own. Overnight in Cappadocia.

South Cappadocia Tour – Overnight Bus to Istanbul

After breakfast at the hotel around 9:30 am, you will be picked up and meet your tour guide to begin your full-day tour of South Cappadocia. Your guide will brief you on the day’s activities.

Your tour will start with a visit to the Red Valley, where you can explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike approximately 5 km through the scenic Rose Valley. Next, you will visit Cavusin Village, famous for its houses and churches of Christian clergymen.

After a lunch break around noon, you will drive to the Pigeon Valley. In the afternoon, visit either the Kaymakli Underground City or the Ozkonak Underground City, where early Christians once lived.

At the end of your full-day tour, you will travel overnight to Istanbul on a non-smoking, fully air-conditioned local bus, departing the bus station at approximately 8:30 pm. The journey takes about 11 hours, with arrival in Istanbul the next day. There will be three breaks on the way for your personal needs. Overnight Bus to Istanbul.

Arrival at Istanbul Main Bus Station – End of Service

Your overnight bus will arrive at the main Istanbul bus station between 7:30 and 9:30 am, depending on traffic conditions. Upon arrival at the bus station, our services will conclude. Please note that you will need to arrange your own transportation from the bus station. End of our service.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or change your travel dates, notify One Nation Travel at least 5 days before the tour starts. For requests received at least 5 days before the tour starts, the cost of all non-refundable flight and bus tickets will be deducted from your paid balance. For requests received less than 5 days before the tour starts, and for no-shows, the full amount paid is non-refundable.

Will I travel with the same group and guide throughout the tour?

Our multi-day Turkey packages are regular group/shared tour arrangements, not fully escorted tours with one tour leader and the same guests from arrival to departure. Sightseeing tours are shared and usually operate with about 15-20 guests, but group size and participants may change by city or day as travelers join or leave different scheduled tours. Licensed English-speaking guides lead scheduled sightseeing visits only. Guides do not travel with guests on domestic flights, intercity buses, airport transfers, hotel transfers, or free-time periods unless this is specifically stated in the itinerary. For flights, buses, and transfers, guests are met by our driver or local representative at airports, bus terminals, or hotels and assisted with the planned transfer.
