Why is hotel accommodation in Cappadocia not included?
This tour is specifically designed for travelers who prefer to choose their own hotel. You are free to book a luxury cave suite, boutique stone hotel, or budget guesthouse based on your taste and budget. Once you share your hotel name and address with us, we arrange all pickups and drop-offs from that hotel.
Can I book my own hotel anywhere in Cappadocia?
Yes. You can stay in Göreme, Uchisar, Ürgüp, Avanos, Çavuşin, or any other Cappadocia town. We pick you up directly from your chosen hotel for the daily tours and return you there at the end of each day.
What time does the tour start on Day 1?
Day 1 begins very early, with an Istanbul hotel pickup around 4:00 AM to catch the morning flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir. The North Cappadocia tour starts shortly after you land and meet your guide.
Is the Istanbul hotel pickup available from the Asian side?
Pickup is only included from hotels on the European side of Istanbul. If you are staying on the Asian side, you will need to arrange your own transfer to a meeting point on the European side or to Istanbul Airport.
Is the hot air balloon ride included in this tour?
No. The hot air balloon ride is an optional activity at additional cost and must be pre-booked. We strongly recommend booking it for the morning of Day 2 so there is a backup option in case of weather cancellation.
What happens after the return flight to Istanbul on Day 2?
The tour services end upon arrival at Istanbul Airport. Transfer from Istanbul Airport to your hotel is not included, but we can arrange a private transfer on request for an additional fee.
Will I be in a private tour or a group tour?
The North and South Cappadocia tours are guided group tours, joined by other travelers in an air-conditioned vehicle with a professional English-speaking guide. Private tour upgrades are available on request.
What should I pack for this 2-day trip?
Bring comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket for cool mornings and evenings, sunscreen, a hat, a camera, and any personal medications. Pack a small carry-on bag for the flights and keep your essentials separate for early morning pickup.
How do I book and pay for this tour?
The deposit or full-payment requirement, currency, balance due date and any disclosed payment-processing charge vary by booking and are stated on the current booking page and in the written confirmation before payment. Flight and bus tickets are issued only under the confirmed booking terms and, once issued, are non-refundable. If you need to cancel or change your travel dates, notify One Nation Travel at least 5 days before the tour starts. For requests received at least 5 days before the tour starts, the cost of all non-refundable flight and bus tickets will be deducted from your paid balance. For requests received less than 5 days before the tour starts, and for no-shows, the full amount paid is non-refundable.
Is travel insurance required?
Travel insurance is not included but is strongly recommended. Make sure your policy covers medical expenses, flight cancellations, and adventure activities such as hot air ballooning if you plan to add that experience.
Will I travel with the same group and guide throughout the tour?
Our multi-day Turkey packages are regular group/shared tour arrangements, not fully escorted tours with one tour leader and the same guests from arrival to departure. Sightseeing tours are shared and usually operate with about 15-20 guests, but group size and participants may change by city or day as travelers join or leave different scheduled tours. Licensed English-speaking guides lead scheduled sightseeing visits only. Guides do not travel with guests on domestic flights, intercity buses, airport transfers, hotel transfers, or free-time periods unless this is specifically stated in the itinerary. For flights, buses, and transfers, guests are met by our driver or local representative at airports, bus terminals, or hotels and assisted with the planned transfer. One Nation Travel coordinates the full itinerary, hotels, domestic tickets, transfers, local guides, and support throughout the trip.
