Arrival in Cairo

Welcome to Egypt! Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, our representative will meet you after customs and immigration and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure to recover from your flight. Depending on your arrival time, you may wish to relax at the hotel or take an evening stroll near your accommodation. Cairo - Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx & Egyptian Museum

After breakfast at your hotel, around 8:30 AM meet your guide and fellow travelers in the lobby for a full day exploring the wonders of ancient Egypt. Drive to the Giza Plateau to visit the legendary Pyramids of Giza, the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. Marvel at the Great Pyramid of Cheops, then continue to the Pyramid of Chephren and the smaller Pyramid of Menkaure. Your guide will share the fascinating history of how these monuments were built over 4,500 years ago. Continue to the iconic Great Sphinx, the limestone guardian with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, where the group will have time for memorable photographs.

Around 1:00 PM, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with views of the pyramids. Cairo to Luxor - Karnak & Luxor Temples - Embark Nile Cruise

After an early breakfast, around 5:00 AM check out from your hotel in Cairo and transfer to Cairo Airport for your morning flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, your local guide will meet the group and begin a full day of exploration in this open-air museum city on the banks of the Nile.

Start with a visit to the magnificent Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex ever built. Walk through the towering Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 massive columns, and admire the obelisks, sacred lake, and avenue of ram-headed sphinxes dedicated to the god Amun-Ra. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the elegant Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. Connected to Karnak by the recently restored Avenue of Sphinxes, this riverside temple is especially striking with its colossal statues and grand colonnades.

Around 4:30 PM, transfer to the docking area to embark on your Nile Cruise. Settle into your cabin and enjoy welcome refreshments as you meet fellow travelers. Luxor West Bank - Sail to Edfu

After breakfast on board your cruise ship, around 8:00 AM meet your guide and fellow travelers to begin a fascinating exploration of Luxor's West Bank, the ancient necropolis of Thebes. Cross the Nile and drive to the Valley of the Kings, the legendary burial ground of pharaohs including Tutankhamun and Ramses the Great. Descend into beautifully decorated rock-cut tombs adorned with vivid hieroglyphs and scenes from the afterlife (entry to three tombs included).

Continue by motorboat across the Nile to the enchanting island sanctuary of Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Cairo to Amman - Transfer to Petra

After breakfast at your hotel, check out and around 7:00 AM transfer to Cairo International Airport for your morning flight to Amman, Jordan. Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, complete your visa formalities and meet your guide and fellow travelers in the arrivals hall.

Board your comfortable coach for the scenic drive south to Petra via the historic Desert Highway (approximately 3 hours). Along the way, enjoy views of the rolling Jordanian countryside and rugged desert landscapes that have inspired travelers for centuries. A lunch stop will be made en route at a local restaurant, where you can sample traditional Jordanian dishes such as mansaf or mixed grills.

Continue your journey, arriving in the town of Wadi Musa, the gateway to Petra, by late afternoon. Check in to your hotel and freshen up after the day's travel. Full-Day Petra Exploration

After breakfast at your hotel, around 8:30 AM meet your guide and fellow travelers in the lobby for a full day exploring one of the world's most remarkable archaeological sites. Begin your visit to Petra, the rose-red city carved into sandstone cliffs by the Nabataeans more than two thousand years ago.

Enter through the Siq, a narrow gorge nearly one kilometer long flanked by towering rock walls, and emerge before the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh), its intricate facade glowing in the morning light. Your guide will share stories of the Nabataean traders who built this caravan city, pointing out details easily missed by independent visitors.

Continue along the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs, then explore the Roman-era theater carved directly into the cliff face. Around 1:00 PM, enjoy lunch at a restaurant within the site. After breakfast at your hotel, around 8:00 AM check out and meet experienced local guides for the listed guided visits; guide assignments may vary by destination, day or segment south to the legendary desert landscapes of Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon. The drive from Petra takes approximately 1.5 hours through dramatic mountain scenery. Upon arrival at the visitor center, board a 4x4 jeep with your group for an exhilarating desert safari across the rust-red sands made famous by Lawrence of Arabia. Explore towering sandstone cliffs, ancient rock inscriptions, and natural arches carved by wind and time. After breakfast at your hotel, around 8:30 AM, meet your driver and fellow travelers in the lobby for a full-day exploration of northern Jordan. Drive approximately 50 minutes north of Amman to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in the world. Walk through Hadrian's Arch, the Oval Plaza, the colonnaded Cardo Maximus, and the South Theatre, where the group will hear stories of Jerash's golden age as a thriving Decapolis city.

Continue to Ajloun Castle, a 12th-century Ayyubid fortress built by a general of Saladin to guard the region against Crusader incursions. From its hilltop position, enjoy sweeping views over the surrounding olive groves and the Jordan Valley. Pause for a relaxed lunch at a local restaurant in the area, sampling regional Levantine specialties.
