Turkey Tours Designed for American Travelers
Turkey has become one of the most popular international destinations for American travelers, and with good reason. The country offers an extraordinary combination of ancient history, vibrant culture, breathtaking landscapes, and world-class cuisine — all within a 10 to 13 hour direct flight from major US cities. Turkish Airlines connects more than ten American gateways with daily nonstop service to Istanbul.
One Nation Travel is uniquely positioned to serve US-based travelers. With our office in Princeton, New Jersey, we provide the convenience of a local travel partner combined with direct operations in Turkey through our TURSAB Class A license (No: 6073). Since 2007, we have been crafting guided Turkey tour packages that take you beyond the guidebook — from the grand mosques of Istanbul to the surreal rock formations of Cappadocia, from the ancient library of Ephesus to the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale.
Every tour is designed by our team, guided by our own professional English-speaking guides, and supported by 24/7 assistance — giving you the confidence to explore one of the world's most fascinating countries with complete peace of mind.

Turkey Visa for US Passport Holders
US citizens need a Turkey e-Visa — easy, fully online, and usually approved instantly.
Turkey e-Visa for the United States
Multiple-entry electronic visa, applied online via the official government portal.
- Visit the official Turkey e-Visa portal at evisa.gov.tr (this is the only official site).
- Complete the online application form — passport details, travel dates, and a valid email address.
- Pay the visa fee (~$50 USD) using a US credit or debit card.
- Receive your e-Visa by email almost instantly. Print a copy and save digital copies on your phone.
- Carry the printed e-Visa with you when you travel — Turkish immigration may ask to see it on arrival.
⚠️ Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel date. We provide a free step-by-step visa guide to all booked clients — just ask after booking.
Practical Tips for American Travelers
What you need to know about food, language, money, and electricity before your Turkey trip.
Food & Dining
Turkish cuisine is a paradise — kebabs, mezze, fresh seafood, baklava, and the famous Turkish breakfast. Almost all meat in restaurants is halal by default (Turkey is a Muslim-majority country). Vegetarian options are everywhere — gozleme, pide, lentil soup, dolma, hummus. Tap water is not recommended; bottled water costs ~$0.50 and is widely available.
Language
Our tours are conducted in fluent English by professional Turkish guides. In all tourist areas — Istanbul, Cappadocia, Antalya, Ephesus, Pamukkale — most shop owners, restaurant staff, and hotel personnel also speak English. Virtually no language barrier for American travelers.
Money & Tipping
Turkish Lira (TRY) is the local currency, but USD and EUR are widely accepted in tourist areas. Visa and Mastercard work almost everywhere. ATMs are abundant. Our prices are quoted in USD; you pay in USD via your card with the bank handling conversion. Tipping: 10% in restaurants, $5-10/day for guides, $2-5 for drivers — appreciated but not mandatory.
Time, Power & SIM
Turkey is 7-10 hours ahead of the continental US (7 from EST, 10 from PST). Power sockets are European-style Type C / F (220V) — US plugs do NOT fit, so bring a universal travel adapter. US phones with international roaming work, but local SIMs (Turkcell, Vodafone) or eSIMs like Airalo are much cheaper.
