6:30–8:00 AM | Private pickup in Istanbul. Typical pickup windows are 6:30–7:00 AM in Taksim and 7:30–8:00 AM in Sultanahmet. Your exact time depends on your pickup address and is confirmed with your booking; these are alternative pickup areas, not successive group pickups. If requesting cruise-port pickup, provide your ship’s arrival and departure times before booking. Depart for Eceabat in your private, non-smoking, air-conditioned vehicle with a driver. Comfort stops can be requested along the way.

Around 12:00 PM | Lunch in Eceabat. Arrive for lunch at a local restaurant before meeting your English-speaking local guide for the battlefield visits. A vegetarian lunch can be requested in advance.

Around 1:00 PM | Gallipoli battlefield tour. Begin at Brighton Beach, the intended landing area, and learn how it differed from the actual ANZAC landings around Ari Burnu and ANZAC Cove on 25 April 1915. Visit Beach Cemetery, where John Simpson Kirkpatrick is buried, then continue to ANZAC Cove and Ariburnu Cemetery.

Continue to the ANZAC Commemorative Site and the Respect to Mehmetcik Statue. At Lone Pine Cemetery and Memorial, reflect on the Australian and New Zealand servicemen commemorated here.

Around 5:00 PM | Return journey to Istanbul. Your guide finishes in Eceabat, and you return with your private driver. My mum and I had been talking about visiting Gallipoli together for years. She's always been passionate about the ANZAC story, and as a New Zealander, it felt like something we needed to do side by side.
