5-Day Istanbul & Cappadocia Tour from Cairo (Flights Included)

Your Turkey journey begins with your included one-way flight from Cairo to Istanbul. Based on your confirmed flight schedule, you will be collected from your Cairo hotel or address approximately three hours before departure and transferred to Cairo International Airport. Please complete airline self check-in, baggage drop, passport control, and boarding procedures independently. Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, a One Nation Travel representative will meet you in the arrivals hall and assist with your scheduled transfer to the hotel. Depending on traffic, the drive into central Istanbul usually takes 45 to 75 minutes. After check-in, the rest of the day is free to settle in and relax after your journey. If your arrival time allows, you may enjoy a gentle walk near your hotel, try a Turkish dinner at a local restaurant, or rest before the guided group sightseeing starts tomorrow morning. After breakfast at the hotel, around 8:30 AM meet your guide and join fellow travelers for a full-day guided group tour through Istanbul’s historic peninsula. Begin at the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, renowned for its immense dome, marble columns, and layered Byzantine and Ottoman legacy. Continue on foot to the Blue Mosque, Istanbul, admired for its six minarets and elegant İznik tile decoration. Your guide will then lead the group to the Hippodrome, Istanbul, once the ceremonial and sporting center of Byzantine Constantinople. Around 12:30 PM, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Topkapi Palace Museum, the former residence of Ottoman sultans, with time to explore its courtyards, treasury areas, and imperial collections; the Harem section is optional at additional cost. Finish at the Grand Bazaar Istanbul, where covered lanes are filled with carpets, ceramics, jewelry, and leather goods. Return to your hotel by about 5:00 PM. Overnight in Istanbul.

Around 4:00 AM, transfer from your Istanbul hotel to the airport for your early morning domestic flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir. Depending on hotel policy and flight timing, breakfast may be provided as a take-away box. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and drive approximately 1 hour into Cappadocia, where the group begins the North Cappadocia route. Start at Devrent Valley, known for its unusual rock formations shaped by volcanic tuff and erosion. Continue to Pasabag Valley, where mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys create one of the region’s most recognizable landscapes. Next, visit Avanos, a pottery town beside the Red River, with time to see a traditional ceramic workshop. After lunch at a local restaurant, explore the Zelve Open Air Museum, an abandoned cave settlement with rock-cut homes, churches, and communal spaces. Around 4:30 PM, stop near Uchisar Castle for panoramic photos before checking in to your cave hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Optional early morning hot air balloon ride pickups usually begin before sunrise and must be pre-booked; flights depend on weather conditions and aviation authority approval.

After breakfast at the hotel, around 9:30 AM your guide will lead the group on the South Cappadocia route. Begin with Red Valley, where walking paths pass colorful volcanic formations and rock-cut churches. Continue through Rose Valley, then visit Çavuşin Village, known for historic cave houses and early Christian sites. Around 12:30 PM, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with your fellow travelers. In the afternoon, stop at Pigeon Valley for views of dovecotes carved into the cliffs. Then descend into Kaymakli Underground City or Ozkonak Underground City, selected according to local conditions and the day’s schedule. Around 4:30 PM, transfer to Kayseri or Nevşehir Airport for your evening flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in and rest. Overnight in Istanbul.

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a relaxed final morning in Istanbul. Standard hotel check-out is usually by 12:00 noon, so please ensure your luggage is packed and any personal expenses are settled at reception before departure. Depending on your onward flight time, you may have free time for a short walk near the hotel, a final cup of Turkish coffee, or last-minute shopping in the local area. At the scheduled time, your driver will meet you in the hotel lobby and transfer you to Istanbul Airport. We recommend arriving at the airport at least three hours before international flights to allow enough time for airline check-in, security screening, and passport control. Please note that return international flights from Turkey are not included in this package; guests may arrange onward travel to Cairo or any other destination according to their own plans.
