Ari Burnu Cemetery

Ari Burnu Cemetery, located at the northern end of Anzac Cove beneath Plugge’s Plateau, memorializes Commonwealth soldiers who perished during the Gallipoli Campaign of World War I. Established in 1915, it holds 252 burials, including 42 unidentified graves. Many interred were members of the 8th and 10th Australian Light Horse Regiments, fallen during the charge at The Nek. Previously the Anzac Day Dawn Service site until 1999, Ari Burnu remains a solemn place for reflection and tribute to the ANZAC legacy.
