Detailed Itinerary
Early morning pick-up from your hotel in Istanbul around 4:00 AM and transfer to Istanbul Airport for your domestic flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir, departing between 6:00 and 7:30 AM. Upon arrival, our representative will greet you at the airport, and you’ll travel to Cappadocia (approximately 1 hour) where your guide and fellow travelers will be waiting to begin a full day exploring North Cappadocia.
Your first stop is Devrent Valley, often called Imagination Valley, where wind and rain have sculpted the soft volcanic rock into extraordinary animal-shaped formations and Fairy Chimneys. From here, continue to Pasabag Monks Valley, where towering mushroom-shaped pinnacles rise dramatically from the valley floor — some once used as hermit dwellings by early monks. Next, the group visits Avanos, a charming town along the Kızılırmak River celebrated for its centuries-old pottery tradition. Watch local artisans shape red clay on the wheel, and try your hand at it if time permits.
After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll explore the Zelve Open Air Museum, a remarkable abandoned rock-cut settlement featuring ancient cave churches, dwellings, and a mosque carved directly into the stone — offering a vivid window into Cappadocia’s monastic past. Göreme sits at the heart of the Cappadocia region, surrounded by hundreds of fairy chimneys and historic landmarks. Towards the end of the day, stop at Uchisar for panoramic photographs of the sweeping valleys and rock formations below.
Around 4:00 PM, transfer back to your hotel in Cappadocia for check-in. The remainder of the evening is at leisure. For those seeking extra adventure, optional evening activities are available at additional cost: a traditional Cappadocian Turkish Night Show with dinner, a two-hour ATV tour, a two-hour horseback riding excursion through the valleys, or a one-hour Whirling Dervish show (one activity per person due to time constraints). Overnight in Cappadocia.
Accommodation in the Hotels Below (or Similar, Depending on Availability at the Time of Booking):
In Cappadocia: Heaven Cave House, Dedeli Konak Cave Hotel, Zula Cave House, or Kismet Cave House.
The quoted price for this tour includes accommodations in the hotels mentioned above or similar quality hotels.
If you prefer a higher quality hotel, we offer two options:
- Option 1: We can upgrade your hotel at an additional cost, which will be added to the total price of the standard package tour.
- Option 2: You can arrange your own accommodation during the tour. We will provide a new package tour price excluding the hotel accommodation cost. In this case, all other services included in the package tour will still be provided, except for hotel accommodation.
Please let us know your preferred option when making the tour request so we can adjust the price accordingly. If no change in hotels is needed and you wish to proceed with the hotels included in our package tour at the quoted price, you may book the tour directly online.
Your day begins before dawn with a spectacular 1-Hour Cappadocia Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride. This bucket-list experience offers you a unique opportunity to float over the fairy chimneys and valleys during the magical early morning hours. After the flight, you will return to your hotel for breakfast. Around 9:30 AM, your guide will pick you up to start the full-day South Cappadocia tour. You will first visit the stunning Red Valley to explore its famous rock-cut churches and hike 5 km through the scenic Rose Valley. The tour continues to Cavusin Village, known for its historic houses and churches carved into the rock.
After a break for lunch, you will visit Pigeon Valley, named after the pigeon houses carved into the soft tuff. In the afternoon, you will explore the depths of Kaymakli Underground City or Ozkonak Underground City, ancient subterranean settlements built by early Christians for protection. At the end of the tour, around 4:00 PM, you will be transferred to Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport for your return flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival in Istanbul, our service concludes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. This specific package includes a standard 1-hour Sunrise Hot Air Balloon flight. We pre-book your slot to ensure availability, as balloon rides often sell out weeks in advance.
Your safety is our top priority. If the flight is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, we will immediately refund you the $360 USD per person fee paid for the balloon ride. The rest of your tour continues as planned.
Accommodation is a key part of the experience. You will stay in a high-quality, authentic Cave Hotel or a Stone Hotel in the heart of Cappadocia (Goreme or Urgup area).
Yes, for the highlights. Day 1 covers Northern Cappadocia (Goreme Open Air Museum, Pottery). Day 2 starts with the Balloon Ride followed by the Southern Tour (Underground City, Hiking). It’s an action-packed 48 hours.
It starts early! We typically pick you up from your Istanbul hotel around 04:00 AM – 05:00 AM for the morning flight to Cappadocia, maximizing your sightseeing time on the first day.
The fastest and most convenient way is by plane (approx. 70 minutes flight time), as driving takes over 10 hours. The best part? Round-trip flight tickets are already included in this tour package. We handle your pick-up from your Istanbul hotel to the airport and all transfers within Cappadocia. Please note that the tour concludes upon your return flight’s arrival at Istanbul Airport (transfer back to your hotel is not included).
While it is possible to see the main highlights of Cappadocia in 2 days, it often feels rushed due to travel times. A 2-day trip usually limits you to just one morning for the hot air balloon flight, which can be risky if there are weather cancellations. Our 2-day Cappadocia tour is the most popular choice because it gives you a second chance for the balloon ride and allows you to explore sites like the Zelve Open-Air Museum and underground cities at a much more relaxed and enjoyable pace.
Absolutely! While the balloons are iconic, Cappadocia’s true magic lies in its unique geology and history. Even without a balloon ride, you can enjoy the breathtaking sight of hundreds of balloons rising at sunrise from our hotel’s terrace or local viewpoints. Beyond the balloons, the Zelve Open-Air Museum, underground cities, and stunning valley hikes offer a world-class experience that is worth the trip alone. Our 2-day tour is designed to show you the very best of the region’s landscape and culture, making your visit unforgettable regardless of the extra activities.
Depending on the daily tour schedule and seasonal crowds, we visit either Kaymakli Underground City or Ozkonak Underground City. Both offer a fascinating journey into ancient history, where you can explore multi-level tunnels, storage rooms, and ventilation shafts once used for protection. While Kaymakli is known for its vastness, Ozkonak features unique defense mechanisms like “rolling stone doors”. Rest assured, either location provides a world-class look into Cappadocia’s mysterious subterranean life.
Staying in a boutique cave hotel allows you to experience the authentic spirit of Cappadocia at a great value. These charming, mid-range accommodations are built into the region’s famous soft volcanic rocks, offering a cozy and traditional atmosphere. By choosing our hand-picked boutique cave hotels, you enjoy a comfortable stay with essential amenities and genuine local hospitality, making it the perfect choice for travelers seeking an authentic experience that fits their budget.
Absolutely. We provide a hassle-free “door-to-door” service that includes round-trip domestic flights between Istanbul and Cappadocia, plus all professional airport transfers within Cappadocia. Please note that while Cappadocia transfers are included, the final transfer from the Istanbul airport back to your hotel at the end of the tour is not included in the standard price; however, you can easily add this service as an “Extra Add-on” during the booking process.
Once your online reservation is received and the specified 30% deposit is charged to your credit card, your domestic flight tickets will be confirmed. You will receive an email confirmation, including all the details, within 2-3 days.
Yes, airport transfers are included in the tour price. This covers pick-up from your hotel in Istanbul and transfer to the airport, as well as all airport-hotel transfers throughout the tour. However, please note that when you return to Istanbul at the end of the tour, the service will conclude at either Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Transfer to your hotel or chosen address from the airport will not be provided, so you will need to arrange this on your own.
On domestic flights in Turkey, the luggage allowance is 15 kg (33 lbs) per person for checked baggage. For carry-on luggage, you are allowed one piece weighing up to 8 kg (17.6 lbs) per person. If your total luggage weight per person is within these limits, you should be fine.
Please note that any excess luggage weight over 15 kg for checked baggage will incur additional charges by the airlines. These extra charges are not included in the tour price and are your responsibility to pay directly to the airline at the time of check-in. We recommend packing accordingly to avoid any unexpected fees.
Your luggage is your own responsibility throughout the tour. Please ensure that you handle any issues related to overweight or excess baggage directly with the airlines.
Yes, the tour can be customized to fit your preferences. Please contact us in advance if you have specific requests or changes you’d like to make to the itinerary. Some changes may be subject to an additional fee.
If you need to cancel or change your travel dates, you must do so at least 5 days before the tour starts. In this case, the cost of all flight and bus tickets, which are non-refundable, will be deducted from your paid balance. For cancellations or date changes made less than 5 days before the tour, the full amount paid will be considered non-refundable, as a “no-show” policy will apply.
Our multi-day Turkey packages are regular group/shared tour arrangements, not fully escorted tours with one tour leader and the same guests from arrival to departure. Sightseeing tours are shared and usually operate with about 15-20 guests, but group size and participants may change by city or day as travelers join or leave different scheduled tours. Licensed English-speaking guides lead scheduled sightseeing visits only. Guides do not travel with guests on domestic flights, intercity buses, airport transfers, hotel transfers, or free-time periods unless this is specifically stated in the itinerary. For flights, buses, and transfers, guests are met by our driver or local representative at airports, bus terminals, or hotels and assisted with the planned transfer. One Nation Travel coordinates the full itinerary, hotels, domestic tickets, transfers, local guides, and support throughout the trip.

By Yuna(South Korea)March 13, 2026 Floating Over Fairy Chimneys Changed EverythingHave you ever had one of those moments where you literally forget to breathe? That was me at 5:30 AM, drifting over Cappadocia in a hot air balloon while the sun painted everything in shades of pink and gold. I actually teared up a little — my husband pretended not to notice but I caught him getting emotional too.Our guide Elif made this trip so special. She didn't just recite facts — she told us stories about the people who carved their lives into those rocks. Walking through the Zelve Open Air Museum felt like stepping into someone's ancient diary. She pointed out details in the cave churches that I would have completely missed on my own.The underground city at Kaymakli was wild. I'm a bit claustrophobic honestly, and I told Elif beforehand. She stayed close and kept me distracted with fascinating explanations about how thousands of people survived down there. By the end I was crawling through tunnels like it was nothing!Pasabag with those mushroom-shaped rocks was the perfect photo spot — my Instagram has never looked better. The cave hotel was another highlight; falling asleep inside actual rock formations felt surreal.Everything from the Istanbul flights to the hotel was handled smoothly. For anyone visiting Turkey with limited time, I'd seriously recommend booking through One Nation Travel. Two days, zero stress, a lifetime of memories.Date of Experience: March 10, 2026
