After an early breakfast, check out from your Cairo hotel around 6:00 AM and transfer to Cairo Airport for your included domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, meet your local representative and join your group for the East Bank sightseeing program. Your guide will first take you to Karnak Temple, a vast religious complex dedicated mainly to Amun-Ra, with monumental pylons, sacred lakes, chapels, and the famous hypostyle hall. Continue to Luxor Temple, located closer to the Nile and known for its grand colonnades, statues, and processional avenue. Around 1:00 PM, embark on your 5-star Nile cruise and enjoy lunch on board. The afternoon is reserved for check-in, relaxation, and time to enjoy the ship’s facilities as the group settles into cruise life. Dinner will be served on board in the evening, followed by free time to rest or enjoy the river views. Overnight in Luxor on board the Nile cruise.
After breakfast on board, around 7:30 AM depart with your guide and fellow travelers for Luxor’s West Bank, the royal burial area of ancient Thebes. Begin at the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried in decorated rock-cut tombs. Your guide will explain the significance of the site and advise which tombs are included in the standard visit; special tombs may require separate tickets. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an elegant terraced monument built for one of Egypt’s most powerful female rulers. On the return route, stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive seated statues that once guarded a mortuary temple. By approximately 1:00 PM, return to the cruise for lunch. The afternoon is spent sailing or relaxing on board, depending on navigation schedules. Dinner is served on the cruise in the evening. Overnight on board the Nile cruise.
Enjoy breakfast on board as the cruise continues along the Nile. Around 8:00 AM, your guide will organize the group visit to the Temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt and dedicated to the falcon god Horus. During the guided tour, you will see its imposing entrance pylon, carved reliefs, courtyards, and sanctuary while learning about Ptolemaic religious traditions. Return to the cruise and enjoy lunch on board while sailing toward Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, usually around 4:00 PM, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. The symmetrical layout, medical reliefs, and riverside setting make this an especially interesting stop. After the visit, rejoin the cruise and continue sailing toward Aswan. Dinner will be served on board, with the evening free to relax in the lounge or on deck. Overnight on board the Nile cruise.
After breakfast on board, around 8:30 AM begin your Aswan sightseeing tour with your Egyptologist guide. Visit the Aswan High Dam, an important modern engineering project that helped regulate the Nile’s annual flooding and created Lake Nasser. Your guide will explain its role in Egypt’s agriculture, electricity production, and water management. Continue to the beautiful island setting of the Temple of Philae, reached by small motorboat. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, the temple complex was carefully relocated during the UNESCO Nubian monuments rescue campaign following the construction of the dam. Walk through its courtyards, pylons, colonnades, and sanctuaries while learning about the final centuries of ancient Egyptian temple worship. Return to the cruise by approximately 1:00 PM for lunch on board. The afternoon is free to relax, enjoy Aswan’s calm riverside atmosphere, or join an optional activity if available locally. Dinner is served on board in the evening. Overnight on board the Nile cruise.
Very early this morning, around 3:30 AM, receive a breakfast box and depart from your Nile cruise for the group excursion to Abu Simbel Temples. Travel by air-conditioned vehicle with your fellow travelers across the desert route to Lake Nasser, with comfort stops arranged as needed. Upon arrival, your guide will introduce the extraordinary rock-cut temples built by Pharaoh Ramses II. The larger temple is dedicated to Ramses II and features four colossal seated statues at the façade, while the smaller temple honors Queen Nefertari and the goddess Hathor. You will also learn about the international relocation project that saved the temples from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. After the guided visit and time for photos, return to Aswan, typically arriving around early afternoon. You will be transferred to Aswan Airport for your included flight back to Cairo. On arrival at Cairo International Airport, a representative will meet the group and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Cairo.

By Jeanne M.(Chicago, USA)May 1, 2026 Loved the Nile cruiseI booked this because I wanted more than just a quick look at the famous sites, and I was really happy with it. Our guide explained the history in a way that was easy to follow, especially at Karnak and the Valley of the Kings. I also liked that the Cairo museum visit did not feel rushed. Egypt was fascinating, and the cruise, flights, and pickups all ran smoothly.Date of Experience: May 01, 2026
