Overview
Gold light spills over the desert as your private Egyptologist brings the stones of Giza to life, revealing Egypt not as a checklist, but as a world of pharaohs, sacred temples, river legends, and living bazaars. Your journey begins with a warm airport welcome in Cairo, then opens into the drama of the pyramids, the Great Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum, Coptic treasures, and the lantern-lit energy of Khan El Khalili. Along the Mediterranean, Alexandria adds a different rhythm: Roman columns, underground catacombs, sea air, and the proud silhouette of Qaitbay Citadel. A domestic flight carries you south to Aswan, where the Nile slows the pace and Philae Temple rises from its island setting like a myth preserved in stone. Aboard your 5-star cruise, you glide between Kom Ombo, Edfu, and the timeless riverbanks before Luxor reveals the Valley of the Kings, Karnak, and Luxor Temple in all their monumental power. With private transfers, curated sightseeing, domestic flights, and cruise arrangements handled, you travel at your own pace and return to Cairo with Egypt written vividly into memory.

After an early breakfast or a prepared breakfast box, your private driver will transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your domestic flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, usually in the late morning, meet your local private guide and transfer to your 5-star Nile cruise ship for check-in before lunch. After settling into your cabin and enjoying lunch on board, begin your Aswan sightseeing around 1:30 PM. Visit the Aswan High Dam, one of Egypt’s major modern engineering projects, built to regulate Nile flooding and support irrigation. Continue by motorboat to the beautiful Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and relocated to its island setting to protect it from rising waters. Your tour also includes a visit to the ancient granite quarries, where massive stone blocks were cut for Egypt’s temples and monuments. By around 5:00 PM, return to the cruise ship and begin sailing toward Kom Ombo, depending on river conditions. Dinner is served on board, followed by evening entertainment such as a Nubian folkloric show when scheduled by the cruise. Overnight in Kom Ombo.
Wake up to peaceful Nile views and enjoy breakfast on board your cruise ship. Around 8:30 AM, meet your private guide for a visit to the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo, set beside a bend in the river. This unusual double temple was dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god associated with strength and the Nile, and Haroeris, a form of Horus linked to protection and kingship. Your guide will explain the temple’s symmetrical design, reliefs, and ancient medical scenes, allowing you to explore at your own pace without feeling rushed. After the visit, return to the ship and continue sailing toward Edfu. Lunch is served on board, giving you time to relax on the sun deck, watch village life along the riverbanks, or enjoy the cruise facilities. The afternoon is intentionally unhurried, as the Nile journey is part of the experience. Tea is typically served later in the day, followed by dinner on board in the evening. The ship remains in or near Edfu overnight, preparing for the next morning’s temple visit. Overnight in Edfu.
After breakfast on board, around 8:00 AM meet your licensed Egyptologist guide for a visit to the impressive Temple of Edfu, also known as the Temple of Horus. This is one of the best-preserved temples from the Ptolemaic period and is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god of the sky and divine kingship. Walk through its monumental entrance, courtyards, halls, and sanctuary while your guide explains the carved scenes and religious stories that decorate the walls. By late morning, return to your Nile cruise and begin sailing toward Luxor. Lunch is served on board as the ship passes through classic Upper Egyptian landscapes. The afternoon is free to relax, take photographs from the deck, or enjoy tea service while cruising along the Nile. Arrival timing in Luxor may vary depending on navigation schedules and Esna Lock traffic, but your guide and cruise team will keep you informed. In the evening, enjoy dinner on board, followed by the traditional Galabya party when operated by the cruise. Overnight in Luxor.
After breakfast, check out from your Nile cruise around 8:00 AM and begin a full day of private sightseeing in Luxor. Start on the West Bank with the Valley of the Kings, where powerful New Kingdom pharaohs were buried in richly decorated tombs. Continue to the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Amenhotep III, then visit the terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. Around 12:30 PM, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, cross to the East Bank to explore the vast Karnak Temple complex, once the religious heart of ancient Thebes. Continue to Luxor Temple, linked historically to Karnak by the Avenue of Sphinxes. By approximately 5:00 PM, transfer to Luxor Airport for your domestic flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, a representative will meet you and provide a private transfer to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Cairo.

By Tristan C.(Sherbrooke, Canada)June 14, 2026 Comfortable and well paced Egypt tourWe did this Egypt tour as a couple and it was a really easy way to see a lot without planning every detail ourselves. The pace suited us well. Some mornings started early, but we understood why once we got going. Ibrahim was patient, helpful, and kept everything simple. We also liked staying at Pyramisa Suites Hotel in Cairo, it was clean and comfortable after busy days. We finished the trip tired in a good way and very glad we went.Date of Experience: June 02, 2026 -

The hotel upgrade was such a nice surprise, and our Nile cruise felt really romantic without being too fancy. Transfers were on time, and the guide made the pyramids easy to enjoy even when it was busy. Big thank you to Ibrahim, the One Nation Travel representative in Cairo, for checking in and helping with the little surprises.Date of Experience: May 12, 2026
