❓ Frequently Asked Questions
7 days is considered the sweet spot for first-time visitors. You can cover 5 major destinations (Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, and the coast) at a brisk but enjoyable pace. It is the most popular itinerary length for Turkey.
Budget: €350-550. Mid-range: €750-1300. Luxury: €2200-4000. Domestic flights (€50-160 total), balloon ride (€150-250), and accommodation drive the biggest cost differences between budget levels.
The standard route flows west to east then south: Istanbul → Cappadocia (fly) → Pamukkale (drive) → Ephesus (drive) → Antalya (drive). This geographic flow minimizes backtracking and lets you depart from Antalya.
With 7 days on this itinerary, Antalya is your beach opportunity. Arrive by late afternoon on Day 6 and enjoy a morning beach session on Day 7 before your flight. For a proper beach holiday, extend to 9-10 days.
Not recommended for this itinerary. Driving in Istanbul is stressful, and the long drives between Cappadocia, Pamukkale, and Ephesus are tiring on unfamiliar roads. Guided tours or a combination of flights and buses is easier and often cheaper.
April-June and September-October are ideal. Weather is warm across all destinations (20-30°C), balloon flights have good success rates, and tourist sites are less crowded than July-August. Spring wildflowers in Cappadocia are a bonus.
