Today you explore the highlight of Jordan, the rose-red city of Petra! Early risers may start as early as 6:00 AM (request a breakfast box from your hotel the evening before). Otherwise, enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting your expert local guide at the main gate.

Begin your walk through the Siq, a narrow 1.2-kilometer canyon with towering walls of colorful sandstone that hide ancient water channels and carvings. At the end of this dramatic passage, you will be rewarded with the iconic first glimpse of the Treasury (Al-Khazneh), Petra’s most famous monument carved directly into the rose-colored cliff face.

Continue along the Street of Facades to discover the impressive Royal Tombs and Pharaoh’s Castle. After approximately 2 hours of guided exploration, your guide will bid farewell at the restaurant area, leaving you free to explore at your own pace. The adventurous can climb the 800 steps to reach the magnificent Monastery (El Deir), standing 45 meters high.

In the afternoon, return to the main gate and transfer approximately 1.5 hours to the Wadi Rum desert. Settle into your authentic Bedouin campsite, enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars, and experience the profound silence of the desert night. Overnight at a desert camp in Wadi Rum.

After breakfast at the camp, embark on an unforgettable 3-hour 4×4 jeep safari through the spectacular red sand landscapes of Wadi Rum, following in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia. Your Bedouin driver will take you to ancient Nabatean rock inscriptions, towering sand dunes you can climb for panoramic views, the dramatic Khazali Canyon with its rock art, and a natural rock bridge that frames the endless desert beyond.

After your desert adventure, hit the road south to Aqaba on the Red Sea coast. Visit the historic Mamluk Fort, then enjoy free time at your leisure. Stroll through the lively Souq, relax at a seaside café with fresh juice, or if time permits, visit a private beach for a swim (admission fee not included).

In the late afternoon, begin the approximately 4-hour scenic drive north back to Amman via the Desert Highway. Upon arrival, check into your hotel in the Jordanian capital and enjoy a well-earned rest. Overnight in Amman.

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a leisurely morning depending on your flight schedule. You may wish to take a final walk through the streets near your hotel or pick up last-minute souvenirs.
