Ankara – Bus to Cappadocia

You will make your own way to Ankara Bus Station (AŞTİ), where your intercity bus journey to Cappadocia begins. Bus departure times are confirmed with your travel documents and may vary by season. Keep essentials with you during the journey, as services begin once you board the bus in Ankara.

You will arrive at Cappadocia Bus Station in the early evening. Our local team will meet you at the station and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, there is no scheduled sightseeing, so you can rest after the road journey or head into Göreme town center for a simple walk, a meal, or a look around the shops and cafes.

This first evening is intentionally unplanned. It gives you time to settle in before two full days of guided sightseeing, with early starts and time spent outdoors. Arrange your own transfer in Ankara before departure, and keep your return plans flexible for the late-night arrival on the final day. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 02 :

North Cappadocia Tour

After breakfast, around 8:30 am, you will be picked up from your hotel. Your guided day begins in Devrent Valley, where wind and rain have shaped the soft volcanic rock into forms that invite comparison with animals and other familiar shapes. Continue to Pasabag Monks Valley to walk among Cappadocia‘s tall, multi-capped fairy chimneys.

Next, travel to Avanos, a town on the Kızılırmak River known for its long pottery tradition. You will stop for a pottery workshop before lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, pause at a Göreme viewpoint to look across the town and surrounding rock formations, then continue to Zelve Open Air Museum, a former cave settlement with dwellings, churches, and passages cut into the rock.

Your final stop is Uchisar Castle, a high natural rock formation used as a lookout point over the region. After time for photos, return to your hotel at around 5:00 pm. Wear comfortable shoes, as paths at the valleys and open-air museum can be uneven. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 03 :

South Cappadocia Tour – Return to Ankara

After breakfast, around 8:30 am, you will be picked up from your hotel. Check out beforehand and have your luggage ready for collection. Start the South Cappadocia tour at Red Valley, where footpaths run between ridges of rose, cream, and rust-colored rock. Continue to Rose Valley, also called Güllüdere, for viewpoints and rock-cut churches.

From there, visit Çavuşin Village, an old settlement with cave homes and places of worship carved into the hillside. Lunch is served at a local restaurant before the afternoon stop at Pigeon Valley, named for the pigeon houses cut into its cliffs. You will then visit either Kaymakli Underground City or Ozkonak Underground City, depending on daily availability. Expect narrow and low passages underground, which may not suit travelers with claustrophobia or limited mobility.

At the end of sightseeing, transfer to Cappadocia Bus Station for your evening bus to Ankara Bus Station (AŞTİ). The journey takes around 4.5 hours, with arrival late at night. Services end when you board the return bus in Cappadocia, and you will make your own onward arrangements from AŞTİ.
