After breakfast at the hotel, around 8:30 AM meet your private driver and begin with a panoramic tour of Amman. Visit the Amman Citadel, where your local guide provides insight into the city’s long history, then continue to the impressive Roman Theatre and the nearby Folklore Museum. By late morning, drive north through the hills of Gilead to Ajloun Castle, a 12th-century Islamic fortress built during the time of Saladin. After time to explore the towers and viewpoints, continue to the ancient Decapolis city of Jerash. Around 2:30 PM, enjoy a guided walking tour through Hadrian’s Arch, the Hippodrome, the oval Forum, colonnaded streets, temples, churches, and Roman theatres. The site is one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in the region, and your private pacing allows time for photography and questions. In the afternoon, drive about two hours to Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon.
