Overview
Thermal pools sit at the heart of the Pamukkale Day Trip from Izmir, a 14 hour day at the Cotton Cliffs and Hierapolis. Pickup is limited to most Izmir hotels, Izmir Port and Izmir Bus Terminal, and hotel collection begins around 6:30 am. The road from Selçuk to Pamukkale runs about three hours.
After lunch a licensed English speaking guide covers the basilica, grand theatre and Roman Baths. Free time follows, and entry to the Cleopatra Pool is not included, paid on site. One Nation Travel, a licensed local tour operator in Istanbul since 2008, TÜRSAB A-6073, coordinates the day. The early start, the road hours and the uneven ground make this a long, active day.

Tour Itinerary
You will be picked up from your city center or airport hotels in Izmir around 6:30 am and taken to the meeting point in Selçuk, where the full group will first meet. The tour will begin with a drive from Selçuk at 8:30 am to Pamukkale, which will take approximately 3 hours. During the journey, there will be a short 10-minute restroom break around 10:00 am.
The group is expected to arrive in Pamukkale at approximately 11:45 am, where you will first enjoy a lunch break at a local restaurant. After lunch, at around 1:00 pm, the guided tour of Pamukkale and Hierapolis will start, led by a professional licensed tour guide.
In Pamukkale, you will have the opportunity to explore the iconic Cotton Cliffs, a natural wonder created by the accumulation of mineral-rich deposits that form stunning white travertine terraces. You will also visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, where you can admire historical structures such as the basilica, the grand theatre, and the Roman Baths.
At the end of the guided tour, there will be free time for you to explore the area on your own. If you wish, you can swim in the Pamukkale Antique Pools, which offer a unique experience of relaxing in thermal waters surrounded by ancient ruins. Please note that entry to the Antique Pools is not included in the tour price. The guide will inform you of the exact meeting point and time to regroup.
The tour will conclude around 4:00 pm, after which you will be transferred back to your hotel in Izmir, Izmir Port, or Bus Station. The return journey is estimated to take 3.5 hours, with an expected arrival time of 8:30 pm. END OF SERVICES.

Pickup from the Izmir Marriott Hotel was right on time, which made the early start easy. Our guide Malek in Pamukkale was helpful and gave enough history without making it feel like a lecture.
