This itinerary is well suited to travelers who want western Turkey’s major classical sites connected without arranging flights, transfers, entrance fees, guiding, and hotels separately. In Ephesus, walk the ancient marble streets of the Greco-Roman City of Ephesus, pause at the Library of Celsus, and visit the House of the Virgin Mary and Isa Bey Mosque.
This route then reaches Pergamon for its Acropolis, theater, Altar of Zeus, Temple of Trajan, and Asclepion before turning inland to Pamukkale’s white mineral terraces and the Roman city of Hierapolis.
