Will I travel with the same group and guide throughout the tour?

Our multi-day Turkey packages are regular group/shared tour arrangements, not fully escorted tours with one tour leader and the same guests from arrival to departure. Sightseeing tours are shared and usually operate with about 15-20 guests, but group size and participants may change by city or day as travelers join or leave different scheduled tours. Licensed English-speaking guides lead scheduled sightseeing visits only. Guides do not travel with guests on domestic flights, intercity buses, airport transfers, hotel transfers, or free-time periods unless this is specifically stated in the itinerary. For flights, buses, and transfers, guests are met by our driver or local representative at airports, bus terminals, or hotels and assisted with the planned transfer. One Nation Travel coordinates the full itinerary, hotels, domestic tickets, transfers, local guides, and support throughout the trip.

Q: Where do I stay during the three nights?

You stay in Canakkale after Day 1, then Kusadasi after Day 2 and Day 3. This keeps the route aligned with the Gallipoli, Troy, Pergamum and Ephesus visits before the Day 4 Pamukkale tour and evening flight to Istanbul. Your final travel documents confirm the hotel names or equivalent.

Q: How full are the days on this route?

Expect early starts and full sightseeing days. Gallipoli, Troy, Pergamum, Ephesus, and Pamukkale are spread across western Turkey, so some days combine site visits with several hours on the road. The pace is best suited to travelers who want to cover the route efficiently rather than spend long stretches at one location.

Q: How much walking should I expect?

You will walk on uneven archaeological ground at Troy, Pergamum, and Ephesus, with stone paths, slopes, and steps in places. Pamukkale also involves walking on mineral terraces and may be slippery when wet. Comfortable walking shoes with a secure sole are more useful than dress shoes or sandals.

Q: How does pickup work in Istanbul?

We arrange the Istanbul pickup details before departure and confirm the meeting time and location with you. Be ready a little before the stated time, since city traffic and hotel access can affect the exact arrival time. Keep your phone available on the morning of departure.

Spring and fall are usually the most comfortable periods for walking through the ancient sites and around Pamukkale. Summer can be very hot at Ephesus, Pergamum, and Troy, where much of the visit is outdoors with limited shade. Yes, you can join on your own. You will spend much of each day with the group during transfers and guided visits, while evenings are generally your own time. Itinerary Overview:

Battlefields, marble streets and white terraces shape the 4-Day Gallipoli, Troy, Pergamum, Ephesus and Pamukkale Tour, four days and three nights across western Turkey. After an early Istanbul hotel pickup, you cross the Dardanelles by ferry and continue by road. An included evening flight from Denizli returns you to Istanbul.

You walk the 1915 battlefields at ANZAC Cove, see the Trojan Horse replica at Troy and the Acropolis at Pergamum, then spend a full day at Ephesus. Day four is Hierapolis and the Cotton Cliffs at Pamukkale. Swimming in the Cleopatra Antique Pools is optional and at your own expense.

Istanbul to Gallipoli Tour

Early morning pickup from your Istanbul hotel between 6:30 and 7:00 AM. Drive to the Gallipoli Peninsula, where you will visit key sites from the 1915 campaign. Explore ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, The Nek, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, and other significant World War I battlefields. Enjoy an included lunch during the tour. After the Gallipoli tour, take the ferry across the Dardanelles Strait to Canakkale. Check in to your hotel in Canakkale for an overnight stay. Meals: Lunch

Day 2 :

Troy and Pergamum Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up between 08:30 and 08:45 AM. Drive to the ancient city of Troy, known for the legendary Trojan War. See the replica Trojan Horse and explore archaeological excavation layers spanning thousands of years. Continue to Pergamum (Bergama), one of the most important cultural centers of the ancient world. Visit the Acropolis, with its hilltop location, the Temple of Trajan, the steepest ancient theater, and the remains of the famous Library of Pergamum. Drive to Kusadasi for an overnight stay. Day 3 :

Ephesus Ancient City Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, at around 8:30 AM, your guide will lead the group on a full-day tour of Ephesus. This ancient Greek city was once an important cultural and commercial center and remains one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. Walk along marble-paved streets to see the Temple of Hadrian, with reliefs depicting mythological scenes, and the Great Theater, which once seated up to 25,000 spectators and looks out across the ancient city. You will also see the Trajan Fountain, built in honor of Emperor Trajan.

After lunch at a local restaurant, the group continues to the House of the Virgin Mary, a pilgrimage site in the wooded hills above Ephesus, where Mary is believed to have spent her final years. You will then make a brief stop at the site of the Temple of Artemis, once counted among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Only scattered fragments remain, but they mark the location of the former temple.

The day concludes with a visit to the historic Isa Bey Mosque, known for its Seljuk architectural details and stonework. At around 4:00 PM, you will transfer back to your hotel in Kusadasi, with the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 4 :

Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour – Evening Flight to Istanbul

After breakfast at around 7:30 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kusadasi and transferred to Selçuk to join the group for the Pamukkale tour. The drive leaves Selçuk at approximately 8:30 AM and takes about 3 hours, with a brief restroom stop along the way.

On arrival at approximately 11:45 AM, you will have lunch at a local restaurant before your guided tour of Hierapolis begins at around 1:00 PM. Visit the Cotton Cliffs, formed by calcareous salt deposits cascading down the mountainside. Continue through the ancient city of Hierapolis, including the well-preserved Hierapolis Theatre, the Roman Baths, and the historic basilica. During free time, you may choose to swim in the Cleopatra Antique Pools at your own expense. Your guide will provide a meeting point for regrouping.

After the tour ends at around 4:00 PM, you will be transferred to Denizli (Cardak) Airport for your included evening flight back to Istanbul, departing between 7:00 and 10:00 PM. Transportation from Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) to your hotel in Istanbul is not included. Tour services end at the airport.
