By Michael. R. March 18, 2026 Turkey's Ancient Wonders Exceeded Every ExpectationI'll be honest — I almost canceled this trip. Work was hectic, the timing felt off, and I kept second-guessing whether eight days was enough to really see Turkey. I'm so glad I didn't back out.The moment we arrived at Gallipoli, something shifted. Standing on those shores, hearing our guide Bilal explain the human cost of those battles with such reverence, I felt genuinely moved. That set the tone for the entire week.Troy was fascinating but compact — we moved through efficiently and headed to Pergamon, which honestly caught me off guard. The Asclepion and the ancient theater perched on that hilltop were breathtaking. Ephesus delivered everything you'd expect and more. I spent nearly twenty minutes just sitting on the steps of the Library of Celsus, sketching it in my travel journal while other groups filed past.Pamukkale was surreal — walking barefoot on those white calcium terraces with warm water pooling around your ankles is something I'll never forget. Antalya gave us a welcome breather along the coast before Cappadocia closed things out spectacularly. The fairy chimneys at sunset looked like another planet entirely.Bilal was knowledgeable, patient, and had a dry humor that kept the bus laughing between stops. Logistics through One Nation Travel were seamless — hotels, transport, timing all well-coordinated. This tour is worth every dollar.Date of Experience: March 02, 2026
