Turkey Tours Designed for Indian Travelers

Planning your dream Turkey trip from India? One Nation Travel has been welcoming Indian travelers — honeymooners, families, friends, and solo explorers — to the timeless lands of Turkey since 2007. With direct daily flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad to Istanbul, Turkey is now just a 7-hour journey from India.

Turkey is one of the most loved destinations for Indian travelers — and it is easy to see why. Cappadocia's iconic hot air balloons at sunrise have become the dream backdrop for Indian honeymoon photos and pre-wedding shoots. Istanbul's grand mosques, palaces, and Bosphorus cruise rival anything in the world. And from the white travertines of Pamukkale to the ancient ruins of Ephesus, every day reveals something extraordinary.

As a TURSAB Class A licensed tour operator (No: A-6073), we design every itinerary in-house and arrange dedicated vegetarian, Jain, and halal meal options at every stop. Hindi-speaking guides are available on request in Istanbul and Cappadocia. With our own local guides, hand-picked hotels, and 24/7 on-tour support, your Turkey trip is completely stress-free from the moment you land.

Practical Tips for Indian Travelers

What you need to know about food, language, money, and time before your Turkey trip.

Food & Diet

Turkish cuisine is wonderfully vegetarian-friendly — meze plates like hummus, baba ghanoush, dolma, lentil soup, gozleme, pide, borek, and fresh salads are everywhere. We arrange dedicated pure-veg, Jain (no onion / no garlic), and halal meal options at all hotels and restaurants on our tours. Indian and Indian-style restaurants are also available in Istanbul, Cappadocia (Goreme), and Antalya for when you crave a taste of home.

Language & Guides

Our standard tours run in clear, fluent English. Hindi-speaking guides are available in Istanbul and Cappadocia on request, with a small supplement. Most Turks in tourist areas speak some English, and many shopkeepers in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar know basic Hindi phrases — there is rarely a language barrier.

Money & Payments

The Turkish Lira (TRY) is the local currency, but USD and US dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas. Card payments work almost everywhere — Visa and Mastercard are universally accepted. ATMs are easy to find. Our tour prices are quoted in USD, but you can pay in INR via your card (your bank handles the conversion). Notify your bank before travel to avoid card blocks.

Time, Power & Connectivity

Turkey is 2 hours 30 minutes behind India (no daylight saving). When it is 12 noon in Mumbai, it is 9:30 AM in Istanbul. Power sockets are European-style Type C / F (220V) — bring a universal travel adapter. Local SIM cards (Turkcell, Vodafone) are easy to buy at the airport, or use a global eSIM like Airalo for instant connectivity on arrival.

Turkey Tours from India — FAQ

Answers to common questions from Indian travelers planning a Turkey tour.

Do Indian citizens need a visa for Turkey?
Yes, Indian passport holders need a Turkey e-Visa, which can be obtained online at evisa.gov.tr. The e-Visa costs approximately 51 US dollars (around 4,200 to 4,400 Indian rupees), is valid for 180 days from the issue date, and allows a single entry with stays up to 30 days. The application takes about 5 minutes and approval is usually issued within 24 hours. We provide a free visa application guide to all our clients after booking.
Are there direct flights from India to Turkey?
Yes. Turkish Airlines operates daily nonstop flights from Mumbai (BOM), Delhi (DEL), Bangalore (BLR), and Hyderabad (HYD) to Istanbul Airport (IST). IndiGo also operates direct flights from Mumbai and Delhi to Istanbul. Direct flights take approximately 7 hours from Delhi and 7 hours 30 minutes from Mumbai. From other Indian cities such as Chennai, Kolkata, Kochi, and Ahmedabad, convenient one-stop connections are available via Mumbai, Delhi, Doha, or Dubai.
Is vegetarian, Jain, or pure-veg food easily available in Turkey?
Yes. Turkish cuisine is naturally vegetarian-friendly with countless meze (small plates) like hummus, baba ghanoush, dolma, lentil soup, gozleme, pide (Turkish pizza), borek, and fresh salads. We arrange dedicated vegetarian and Jain meal options at all hotels and restaurants on our tours. Jain travelers (no onion, no garlic, no root vegetables) are accommodated with prior notice — please mention this at the time of booking. Indian and Indian-style restaurants are also available in Istanbul, Cappadocia (Goreme), and Antalya.
Is halal food available in Turkey?
Yes. Turkey is a Muslim-majority country and virtually all meat served in restaurants and hotels is halal by default. You can confidently enjoy local Turkish cuisine including kebabs, koftas, and traditional dishes throughout your tour without concerns about halal certification.
How much does a Turkey tour cost for Indian travelers?
Turkey tour packages start from approximately 548 USD per person (around 50,000 Indian rupees) for a 4-day guided tour. Most Indian travelers book 7 to 10 day packages in the 1,000 to 2,000 USD per person range (around 90,000 to 1,80,000 rupees). International round-trip flights from India to Istanbul typically range from 40,000 to 1,00,000 rupees depending on season and how early you book. Our tour prices include hotels, breakfasts, ground transport, English-speaking guide, and entrance fees.
Are Hindi-speaking or Indian guides available?
Our standard tours are conducted in English by professional Turkish guides who speak fluent English. Hindi-speaking guides are available in Istanbul and Cappadocia on request, subject to availability and a small supplement. Most Indian travelers find English service perfectly comfortable, but please mention your preference at booking time and we will do our best to arrange a Hindi-speaking guide for your group.
What is the time difference between India and Turkey?
Istanbul is 2 hours and 30 minutes behind Indian Standard Time (IST) for most of the year. When it is 12 noon in Mumbai or Delhi, it is 9:30 AM in Istanbul. Turkey does not observe daylight saving time. The small time difference makes phone calls and travel coordination very convenient between India and Turkey.
What is the best time of year to visit Turkey from India?
The best months are April to June and September to October, when weather across Turkey is warm, pleasant, and comfortable for sightseeing. Spring offers blooming tulips in Istanbul (especially the Tulip Festival in April) and ideal weather for Cappadocia balloon rides. Fall is cooler with golden light. Many Indian families travel during summer school holidays (May to July) and during the Diwali break in October to November — these dates book up early, so plan ahead. Winter (December to February) is cold but ideal for budget travelers and snow lovers.
Is Turkey safe for Indian families and solo travelers?
Yes, Turkey is one of the most popular and safe destinations for Indian travelers. Major tourist areas like Istanbul, Cappadocia, Antalya, Pamukkale, and Ephesus welcome millions of international visitors each year, including a large and growing number of Indian tourists. Turkish people are warm, hospitable, and often familiar with Indian culture (many enjoy Bollywood films and Indian food). Our 24/7 on-tour support team and licensed local guides ensure a smooth and safe experience throughout your trip.
Can I customize my Turkey tour for an Indian wedding, honeymoon, or family group?
Absolutely. We specialize in customized Turkey itineraries for Indian honeymooners, family groups, multi-generational trips, and even small destination wedding ceremonies. Popular additions for Indian travelers include the Cappadocia hot air balloon experience at sunrise, private Bosphorus dinner cruises, traditional Turkish hammam (spa), pre-wedding photo shoots in Cappadocia, and dedicated Indian or vegetarian meal arrangements. Contact us for a free custom quote and we typically respond within a few hours.
Can I pay in Indian rupees?
Our tour prices are listed in USD for international consistency. Payment can be made by credit card, debit card, or bank transfer in INR — your bank will handle the currency conversion at the prevailing exchange rate. There are no additional conversion fees from our side. We recommend checking with your card provider about foreign transaction fees and notifying them of international travel before booking.
What is included in your Turkey tour packages for Indian travelers?
Our standard packages include 4-star hotel accommodation, daily breakfast (with vegetarian options on request), all ground transportation within Turkey, professional English-speaking guide, entrance fees to all listed attractions, domestic flight or bus transfers between cities, airport pickups and drops in Turkey, and 24/7 on-tour support. International flights from India, Turkey e-Visa, travel insurance, lunches, personal expenses, optional activities (e.g. Cappadocia balloon ride), and tips are not included.
