Itinerary Overview
This 10-day route covers Turkey’s greatest hits without the rushed pace that ruins most group tours. You’ll start in Istanbul, where the spice market alone can hold you for hours — the smell of sumac and dried chili hits before you even step inside. From there, the itinerary swings south to Ephesus, then to the white calcium terraces of Pamukkale, along the Mediterranean coast through Antalya, and finishes in the surreal volcanic landscape of Cappadocia.
What makes this loop work is the pacing. You get full mornings at major sites before the cruise-ship crowds arrive, plus real downtime to wander on your own. Try the künefe in Antalya’s old quarter, watch the sun drop behind the fairy chimneys from a rooftop in Göreme, and don’t skip Turkish breakfast — it’s a meal that changes everything.
Trip Highlights
- Istanbul – Walk through the Hagia Sophia when morning light floods the dome
- Ephesus – Explore one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Mediterranean
- Pamukkale – Wade barefoot across warm thermal terraces overlooking the valley
- Antalya – Stroll the narrow lanes of Kaleiçi old town to the Roman harbor
- Cappadocia – Float above fairy chimneys at sunrise in a hot air balloon
