Day-by-Day Itinerary
You will be picked up from your hotel in Istanbul around 4:00 AM and transferred to the domestic airport for your flight to Denizli, departing between 6:00 and 8:00 AM. Upon arrival at Denizli Airport, you will be met and transferred to Pamukkale, where you will join your professional tour guide to begin a full-day tour of Pamukkale and Hierapolis.
At approximately 10:45 AM, your first stop will be Karahayit, where you will see the famous Red Springs, renowned for their healing properties. At around 11:45 AM, you will proceed to Pamukkale to explore the ancient city of Hierapolis. Highlights of this visit include the Necropolis, Roman Baths, Domitian Gate, Latrina, Frontinus Street, Agora, Byzantine Gate, Triton Fountain, Cathedral, Apollo Temple, Plutonium, and the Theatre.
You will enjoy a lunch break at a local restaurant. After lunch, you’ll have approximately 60 minutes of free time to explore the natural beauty of the Pamukkale Travertines on your own. You may also choose to swim in the Pamukkale Antique Pools (at your own expense), relaxing in the same thermal waters that Cleopatra is believed to have bathed in.
You will regroup with your guide and have the unique experience of walking barefoot down the famous travertine terraces, feeling the soft limestone underfoot.
After the tour, around 4:00 PM, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kuşadası, arriving at approximately 7:30 PM for check-in. Once settled, the evening is yours to relax or explore the town at your leisure.

Breakfast at the hotel is around 8:30 am, after which we pick you up to meet your guide and start your full day in Ephesus. Your guide will walk you through the day’s plan before the first stop: the Temple of Artemis, once counted among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Little remains standing today, but your guide will show you where the temple stood and what made it significant enough to earn that ranking.
From there, you move on to the Greco-Roman City of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities anywhere. You’ll walk the original marble streets, pass through the ruins of temples and baths, and stand in front of the Library of Celsus, whose facade is one of the most photographed structures in Turkey.
After the ruins, you’ll stop for lunch. In the afternoon, the tour continues to the House of the Virgin Mary, a small stone house on a hillside outside Ephesus, believed by many Christians and Muslims to be where Mary lived out her final years.
The last stop is the Isabey Mosque, built in the 14th century and one of the clearest examples of Seljuk architecture still standing in the region.
Around 4:00 pm, we transfer you to Izmir Airport for your evening flight to Kayseri or Nevsehir via Istanbul. On arrival, a driver will be waiting with a sign bearing your name to take you to your hotel in Cappadocia for the night.
Accommodation in the Hotels Below (or Similar, Depending on Availability at the Time of Booking):
In Cappadocia: Heaven Cave House, Dedeli Konak Cave Hotel, or Zula Cave House.
The quoted price for this tour includes accommodations in the hotels mentioned above or similar quality hotels.
If you prefer a higher quality hotel, we offer two options:
- Option 1: We can upgrade your hotel at an additional cost, which will be added to the total price of the standard package tour.
- Option 2: You may request to arrange your own accommodation. We will prepare a revised written quote; each non-hotel service remains included only if it is expressly listed in the revised confirmation, and availability or price may change.

For an optional extra to start your day, consider booking an early morning hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia’s extraordinary valleys. Drifting above the fairy chimneys and rock-cut settlements as the sun rises is a truly spectacular experience. Please note that this activity comes at an additional cost and is subject to weather conditions.
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will gather the group at approximately 9:30 AM for a full-day exploration of North Cappadocia’s most remarkable landscapes. The first stop is Devrent Valley, where wind-sculpted rock formations take on the shapes of animals and mythical figures — a striking introduction to the region’s extraordinary geology that sets the tone for the day ahead.
By 10:15 AM, the group continues to Pasabag Valley, famous for its towering mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. Some of these remarkable formations were hollowed out and used as hermit shelters by early monks, and their unusual multi-capped silhouettes make them among the most photographed sights in all of Cappadocia.
Around 11:00 AM, the group arrives in Avanos, where you’ll visit a traditional pottery workshop. Artisans demonstrate techniques passed down through generations, shaping clay drawn from the banks of the Red River — a craft that has defined this town for centuries.
At approximately 12:00 PM, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Avanos with your fellow travelers. After the meal, the group sets off for the afternoon’s explorations.
By 1:15 PM, join fellow travelers at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking Göreme, where a sweeping vista reveals the valley’s cave dwellings and rock-cut churches from above, offering a sense of just how deeply human history is carved into this landscape.
Around 1:45 PM, your guide will lead the group to the Zelve Open Air Museum, an abandoned rock-cut village that once supported a thriving community. Wander through ancient cave dwellings, churches adorned with faded frescoes, and a mosque carved directly into the stone — all offering a vivid picture of daily life in Cappadocia’s volcanic terrain.
By 3:00 PM, the group makes a final stop at Uchisar Castle, the tallest point in Cappadocia. Admire this towering rock fortress from the outside, its honeycomb surface riddled with rooms and tunnels that once served as both homes and defensive lookouts. By 3:30 PM, your guide will return the group to the hotel by approximately 4:00 PM, leaving the rest of the evening free to relax. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Following lunch, the tour continues with a visit to Pigeon Valley (Güvercinlik Vadisi), named after the numerous pigeon houses carved into the soft volcanic rocks. In the afternoon, you will explore one of the region’s fascinating underground cities, either the Kaymaklı Underground City or Özkonak Underground City, where early Christians once took refuge to escape persecution.
The tour ends around 4:00 pm, after which you will be transferred back to your hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia.
