Q: How many nights do I spend in each place?

You spend 1 night in Sanliurfa, 2 nights in Cappadocia and 2 nights in Kusadasi or Selcuk, for 5 hotel nights in total. On Day 6, the tour ends when you land in Istanbul and are transferred to your hotel or a central Istanbul address. If you want more time in Istanbul before or after the tour, tell us your plans when you send your inquiry.

Q: How long are the days on this route?

The first two days are the longest. Day 1 runs about 14 hours with an early Istanbul pickup, a flight, Mount Nemrut and a road transfer to Sanliurfa, and Day 2 adds a drive of about 5 hours to Cappadocia after a full day of sightseeing. Days 4 and 6 also run about 12 hours because a flight follows the tour. Day 3 is the easiest, with a pickup at about 9:30 AM and a return around 4:00 to 5:00 PM.

Q: How much walking is involved?

Expect a fair amount of walking on most days, often on uneven ground. At Ephesus you walk the ancient streets on marble and stone, and at Mount Nemrut you move around the summit sanctuary in cooler, windier air. The underground city on Day 4 has narrow, low passages where you need to stoop, so it may not suit you if you dislike tight spaces.

Q: How does pickup work?

On Day 1, we pick you up early in the morning from your Istanbul hotel and take you to the airport for your flight to Adiyaman. Send us your hotel name and address with your booking so we can plan the pickup. In Cappadocia, pickups for the North and South tours are at about 9:30 AM, and the Ephesus and Pamukkale tours also start with a hotel pickup.

Q: Which flights are included, and what should I know about luggage?

Three domestic flights are included: Istanbul to Adiyaman, Kayseri to Izmir, and Denizli to Istanbul. International flights are not included and are not offered as a paid add-on, so you must arrange and purchase these flights independently. Baggage allowance depends on the airline ticket, and exact flight times depend on the confirmed schedule. Because Days 1, 4 and 6 combine sightseeing with a flight, pack a small day bag with water, a warm layer and anything you need during the tour.

Q: Will I travel with the same group and guide throughout the tour?

Our multi-day Turkey packages are regular group/shared tour arrangements, not fully escorted tours with one tour leader and the same guests from arrival to departure. Sightseeing tours are shared and usually operate with about 15-20 guests, but group size and participants may change by city or day as travelers join or leave different scheduled tours. Licensed English-speaking guides lead scheduled sightseeing visits only. Guides do not travel with guests on domestic flights, intercity buses, airport transfers, hotel transfers, or free-time periods unless this is specifically stated in the itinerary. For flights, buses, and transfers, guests are met by our driver or local representative at airports, bus terminals, or hotels and assisted with the planned transfer. One Nation Travel coordinates the full itinerary, hotels, domestic tickets, transfers, local guides, and support throughout the trip.

Q: When should I go, and what should I wear?

Spring and fall are usually the most comfortable, since summer heat can be intense at Sanliurfa, Ephesus and Pamukkale. Mount Nemrut sits at high altitude and stays much cooler than the valleys, and snow can affect access in winter, so check your dates with us first. Pack shoes with good grip, a warm layer for the summit, sun protection, and swimwear in your day bag if you plan to use the Cleopatra Antique Pool. If you enter a mosque around Balikligol, cover your shoulders and knees, and women should bring a scarf.

Q: Does this tour work for solo travelers?

Yes. Sightseeing is on shared tours, so you join other travelers each day. If you want a room to yourself, note that the single room supplement is not included, and mention your preferred room setup when you send your inquiry.

You fly from Istanbul to Adiyaman, go by road to Sanliurfa, then continue to Cappadocia, a drive of about 5 hours. From there you fly from Kayseri to Izmir, and on the final day you fly from Denizli back to Istanbul, where the tour ends.

Day one builds to the summit of Mount Nemrut, among the stone statues of King Antiochus I, before the transfer to Sanliurfa. Next comes Gobeklitepe, one of the world’s oldest known monumental sites, followed by two full days in Cappadocia’s valleys. The Aegean leg covers the marble streets of Ephesus, then the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale and the ruins of Hierapolis.

You start and finish in Istanbul, and three domestic flights carry you across Turkey from east to west. The first two days run long: you fly to Adiyaman and head straight out to Mount Nemrut, then spend a full day at Gobeklitepe and in Sanliurfa before a long road transfer to Cappadocia. The pace eases there, with two guided days among the rock formations and a free evening after the first. A flight from Kayseri takes you to the Aegean coast for Ephesus, and the final day covers Pamukkale and Hierapolis before you fly back to Istanbul.

Day 1 :

Flight to Adiyaman – Mount Nemrut Tour

We pick you up from your hotel in Istanbul early in the morning and transfer you to the airport for your domestic flight to Adiyaman. Exact flight and arrival times depend on the confirmed schedule.

At Adiyaman Airport, you meet your guide and head straight into the Mount Nemrut tour. The first stop is Karakus Tumulus, a tumulus (an ancient burial mound). Next comes Arsameia Ancient City, and then Cendere Bridge.

The day builds to Mount Nemrut, where the stone statues and sanctuary of King Antiochus I sit on the mountaintop. The views from up there reach well across the surrounding ranges. Wear shoes with good grip and bring a warm layer, since the summit is noticeably cooler than the valleys below.

After the tour, you transfer by road to Sanliurfa. Expect a long day of about 14 hours in total, depending on flight times.

Day 2 :

Gobeklitepe and Sanliurfa Tour – Drive to Cappadocia

After breakfast, you check out of your hotel and start a full day in Sanliurfa.

You begin at Gobeklitepe, one of the world’s oldest known monumental archaeological sites. Seeing it first is worth it, because the museum visits later in the day make more sense once you have stood at the site itself.

From there, you visit the Sanliurfa Archaeology Museum and the Haleplibahce Mosaic Museum, then walk to Balikligol and through the historic old town of Sanliurfa.

Once sightseeing ends, you set off by road for Cappadocia. The drive takes about 5 hours, so keep water and snacks handy. On arrival, we transfer you to your hotel.

North Cappadocia Tour

After breakfast, we pick you up from your hotel at about 9:30 AM for the full-day North Cappadocia Tour.

You visit Devrent Valley and Pasabag (Monks Valley), then continue to the town of Avanos. Next is the viewpoint at Göreme Panorama, followed by the Zelve Open Air Museum. You also stop for an exterior view of Uchisar Castle.

Lunch is included during the tour.

You return to your hotel at about 4:00 to 5:00 PM, which leaves the evening free.

Day 4 :

South Cappadocia Tour – Flight from Kayseri to Izmir

If you want to go up in a hot air balloon, this is the morning for it. The flight is optional, arranged separately, paid locally and never included in the tour. It takes place early, before breakfast, and it depends on suitable weather and official approval on the day.

After breakfast, we pick you up from your hotel at about 9:30 AM for the full-day South Cappadocia Tour. You visit Red Valley and Rose Valley, then Cavusin Village and Pigeon Valley. The tour also includes one of Cappadocia’s underground cities, where the passages are narrow and low in places.

After the tour, you transfer to Kayseri Airport for your flight to Izmir. Exact flight times depend on the confirmed schedule.

At Izmir Airport, our representatives meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kusadasi or Selcuk.

Ephesus Full-Day Tour

After breakfast, we pick you up from your hotel for the full-day Ephesus Tour.

The main visit is Ephesus Ancient City, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in the world. You walk the ancient streets on marble and stone, so comfortable shoes and sun protection make a real difference here.

Afterward, you visit the House of the Virgin Mary and the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Lunch is included during the tour.

After the tour, we transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 6 :

Pamukkale and Hierapolis Tour – Flight to Istanbul

After breakfast, you check out of your hotel. We pick you up in the morning and transfer you to Pamukkale for the full-day Pamukkale and Hierapolis Tour.

You visit the white Pamukkale Travertines, terraces formed by mineral deposits from the spring water. You also explore the ancient city of Hierapolis and its ruins.

You have free time to visit the Cleopatra Antique Pool if you wish. Entry to the pool is optional and paid directly on-site. If you plan to swim, pack swimwear in your day bag rather than your suitcase.

After the tour, you transfer to Denizli Airport for your domestic flight to Istanbul. Exact flight times depend on the confirmed schedule. On arrival in Istanbul, you are met at the airport and transferred to your hotel or central Istanbul address.

End of the tour.

When you send your enquiry, include your travel dates, the number of travelers, the room setup you want, your hotel class preference, and whether your dates can shift by a day or two.

This tour includes three domestic flights: Istanbul to Adiyaman, Kayseri to Izmir, and Denizli to Istanbul. Before we can issue these tickets, we need each traveler’s full name exactly as it appears in the passport, plus date of birth, passport number and nationality. At the gate, airline staff check the name on your ticket against your passport, so even a small spelling difference can cause problems at boarding.

For your pickup on the morning of Day 1, send us the name and address of your Istanbul hotel. If you are flying into Istanbul just before the tour starts, send your arrival flight number and landing time instead.

We offer hotel pick-up services for airport transfers on the European side of Istanbul in the districts of Taksim, Şişli, Sultanahmet, Eminönü, Fatih, Beşiktaş, Karaköy, and Bakırköy. Our pickup time will be confirmed according to your scheduled flight. If your location is on the Anatolian side or outside these districts, please arrange your own transport to the airport.
The normal arrival time in Istanbul is between 8:00 – 10:00 pm. If you are planning on reserving your plane back home that same day, we recommend you book a plane ticket from 1:00 am onwards, to avoid missing your flight.
